Other pollutants include carbon monoxide, mold, and volatile organic compounds found in paint, pollen, pet dander, dust mites, and cockroaches.

Both short-term and long-term exposure to particulates released into the air from your ducts can cause health problems. People suffering from asthma or COPD might experience symptoms such as shortness of breath and wheezing. Poor air quality also increases the possibility of respiratory illnesses, heart disease, stroke, and lung cancer. People who are already ill or have a weakened immune system might find that poor air quality exacerbates their conditions. And since those folks are more likely to spend time indoors than the average person, ensuring that you have good indoor air quality becomes even more important.
If you or others in your commercial building begin to show signs of a common cold or the flu, such as sneezing, coughing, headache, and fatigue, it could be due to poor indoor air quality. Closely monitor the symptoms, and remember that every moment you leave your employees to breathe poor air can lead to lost productivity and profits for your business. When in doubt, let us clean your ducts and put you back on the road to profitability once more.
How Can I Tell if It’s Time to Schedule a Cleaning?
It can be easy to forget about the air ducts of your commercial property, but they aren’t something to be ignored. Dirty ducts can not only affect the health of your employees and customers but also your monthly utility bills. The following are some signs that it’s time to call Frontier Services Group and schedule an appointment for air duct cleaning:
- Dust & debris shoot out when you turn your HVAC unit on
- Mold growth
- Rodents & insects making a home
- Carbon monoxide detected
You should have your air ducts cleaned every 2 to 3 years on average. But depending on your property and usage of your HVAC systems, we may recommend that you have it done more often.
How Long Can I Expect the Cleaning Process to Take?
At Frontier Services Group, we understand that you still have an operation to run. As fellow business owners, we do not want to overstay our welcome or get in the way of your crew. Generally, commercial air duct cleaning only takes one appointment session, which runs between 2 and 4 hours. But cleaning time is based on the size and scope of your commercial HVAC system. When you contact us, we can ask questions to give you a more accurate estimate of how much time we’ll need to clean your system.
How Does The Process Work?
Containment Equipment Placement
We place containment equipment around each duct so the dirty air doesn’t cover everything in your commercial property.
Filter Removal & Replacement
We’ll remove and discard the old, dirty filters. Please be advised that you are responsible for acquiring replacement filters for the appointment.
Register Removal & Cleaning
Following filter removal, we’ll remove and clean each register.
HVAC RotoBrush Cleaning
We’ll use the HVAC RotoBrush machine to clean the register housing and ductwork. This tool has a vacuum with a soft brush at the end that loosens and sucks out dust and spores.
Coil Cleaning
We’ll open your HVAC unit itself and clean the individual coils themselves. This is as deep a clean as we can do, as going beyond the coils can affect the wiring.
Anti-Microbial Spray
Once the cleaning is done, we spray an anti-microbial after powering on the unit to kill any spores left over. We recommend not being in the building when this final step is complete.
